That is really a tough question to answer. Trouble with your heart is a major complication of not managing your kidney disease well, so that has to be factored in.

There are two different types of dialysis , hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Which one are you speaking of?

 Life expectancy has much to do with helping to keep your kidneys from getting worse by:

• Controlling other health problems you may have
• Treating complications of kidney disease
• Managing or preventing heart disease
