yesterday morning i got up as normal and went to the toilet i noticed a dark brown discharge on my underwear ....my period began on the 19th of December and finished on the 24th i had sex on the 2nd and also the 10 of Jan (unprotected) so i had sex in my fertile stage anyway as the day went on yesterday the bleeding stopped until late that night where it got so heavy and clots and red so i thought this might not be implantation bleeding which really made me upset seeing how my and my partner have been TTC anyway about 2am this morning it stopped again which made me think my period has never done this before so it might not be my period..but about 11am it has gotten heavy with blood clots again and has stayed heavy for most of the day. i was reading that implantation bleeding happens about 12-14 days after conceiving which yesterday was the 12 day after i conceived i really dont know whats happening to me im scared upset confused and all of above worried that if im pregnant why am i bleeding so much please help me!

thankyou

Hi Anon,

If you have tested negative and have taken the test as directed, then it might not be necessary.  You might want to see your doctor.

Daisy

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Anytime you have unprotected sex your chances for pregnancy to occur are higher.  Especially if you were on your fertile days.  Any bleeding aside from your period is not normal. Implantation bleeding should not be heavy, is more like spotting. If the bleeding does continue you need to see your doctor, many other conditions can also cause irregular bleeding. Have you taken a home pregnancy test?

Best,

Daisy
