Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
April 30, 2016 - 11:06amWhen you start taking the pills for the first time they do not become effective until after one week of taking the pills. If you have been taking the pill for a few months it take 1 to 2 weeks of being off the pill to ovulate. Therefore, even though missing a pills, or taking it late can possibly reduce its effectiveness, you probably did not ovulate.
With that said however, its really not possible to definitively tell you whether or not you will become pregnant. If you miss your next period while on the pill, you should take a pregnancy test. Keep in mind that your normal cycle may be disrupted from taking the pills late.
