Ok i am in major need of some help! Me and my boyfriend had sex and the condom broke so the next day i had tooken the plan b one step. I had gotten my regular heavy flow 7 day period and everything was ok. I did not get my period this month and i am getting worried because i was due between the 4th and 7th. I am now having a clear non-oder discharge that has lasted a couple of days and i am having pain in my lower left abdomen. Could i be pregnant? Or did the hormones from the pill affect my period.

Hi there,

I had my period Dec 4-9th, I had sex on Dec 13th, he withdrew but to be sure I took a Plan B one step pill early the next day 14th. On the 19th I started to bleed and had a full 5 day period. Now about a week later (28th) I've started to spot and it seems even heavier today!

I've read about Plan B and that an early period or bleeding is normal, but Three in one month?! I've had cramps and back pain throughout, though my regular cramps are much worse. This is my first time taking plan b and I haven't taken birth control in over a year, we just use condoms.

Please advise if this sounds like something from the hormones or anything more serious? Thanks so much

Hi everyone,
I am aware this is an old post but I really need input so I thought it'd be worth a try.

On November 9th I got my period and it finished the 15th. Early in the morning (3 am) on the 17th I had unprotected sex, I got worried so I took the plan b pill on the 19th approximately 63 hours the "incident"
On the 24th I got a very light period which lasted maybe 4-5 days, but after reading some posts I seer hats quite normal.
So my question is, the period after plan b, is it considered to be the following months period as I already had my usual one before the sex in November?
That meaning the plan b period that came 2 weeks after my usual was Decembers?? It is currently Christmas Eve so exactly a month since my plan b period, should I expect one this month?
I'm sorry if this is confusing, I just really need some help & after this scare is over I will probably never have sex again until I'm ready to face the consequences or on birth control.
Thank you once again.

Hello Anonymous,

You do not need to worry. Some women experience changes in their menstrual cycle after taking Plan B. Changes include a period starting earlier or later than normal and menstrual flow can be lighter or heavier than normal.

My period ended last week on the 4th of decemeber. I had protected sex on the 7th and then on the 8th I took plan b, just in case. On the 13 & 14 I had brown discharge and period bleeding that last for 2 days.
Whats going on? is this a side effect because of plan b?

So i took plan b two weeks ago and started my period a day after .
Me and my boyfriend where having sex on the last day of my period and condom ripped .
So I had to take plan B again . Now 4 days later I'm having another period .
Is this possible ? Is it because of both plan B? Or is it a sign of pregnancy . I know I wasn't ovulating on neither of Those weeks . I have a 30 day cycle .

Hello Anonymous,

This is not a sign of pregnancy.
Plan B contains levonorgestrel, a progestin, which is a synthetic component similar to progesterone, which your ovaries produce.. The emergency contraceptive works by delaying or preventing ovulation, interfering with fertilization, and inhibit implantation by altering the lining of the uterus.

By taking Plan B twice in a short period of time, you have given your body an "overdose" of the synthetic hormone. The change in your normal menstrual cycle, having another period, is a side effect of the pill.

Okay so my period was from
November 21 to the 24. I had sex the 24th (unprotected) so I took
Plan B about 12 hours later . On about November 27 I started bleeding
Brown and now it's red . When I pee there's blood in it and also when I wipe.
I just had my period a week ago . Is this another period due to Plan B ?
Or should I be concerned ?
