I had unprotected sex a few days before last months period. I had my period as normal and it started on the 6th July, however it was lighter than usual and only lasted a few days. It is now the 11th August and i still havent come on my period, having said this my periods are quite irregular. I know its unlikely to become pregnant as you are most fertile 14 days into your cycle, however I am still worried as my periods are so irregular. Please help me by giving me your thoughts.

Hello Anonymous,

Depending on your age, the menstrual irregularities that have recently developed could be an early sign of perimenopause.

Fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone levels cause an irregular period. Perimenopause, pregnancy, and a hormonal imbalance are all possibilities.

Me & my fiancé had sex alot last month of October after my period ended and he finished in me multiple times before & after my ovulation days. My period is usually on the 3rd of every month, 32 day cycle. My period was supposed to start on the 3rd of this month but it didn't start until today. I've been very tired, really hungry, and my boobs are sore. I had cramps before it even came & even today it isn't like my usual heavy period. Could I be pregnant? My cramps are usually hard to deal with but now they are just slight pains.

Hello Anonymous,

You can either take an early response pregnancy test now or wait until you are late by at least one week. A pregnancy test is much more reliable than guessing.

I had sex numerous times after my last cycle in Oct. The last time was Oct. 25 and my cycle started Oct. 27. I only bled when I wiped. Now today Nov. 5 I have a brown discharge, gas, bloating, sore breast and very hungry. Is it possible for me to be pregnant?

Hello Anonymous,

Take a home pregnancy test, which is much more reliable than guessing with symptoms.

Hi. My last period was October 2nd, I had unprotected sex oct 5th. He didn't finish without a condom it was just a couple minutes of unprotected. Since then, I've been traveling a lot in other countries and time zones. I just got home and am 5 days late. My periods are generally 28-30 days. Took tests, all neg. cramping last couple days and boobs hurt slightly. Chances of being preg?

Hello Anonymous,

Traveling, especially through different time zones, can cause your period to be late. Once you get back into your normal daily routine, your period should start. If you do not get a period at all this month, test again.
