Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. If taken as prescribed or directed by your physician it should protect against pregnancy. Normally is taken for 21 days since the first day of your period and followed by a 7 day break. If you are concerned about the way you should take your medications, it might be best to discuss with your doctor before continuing this medication. Hope this was helpful?
