I just literally had my period it started the 23rd of January and end the 27th of the same month. My partner and I had sex on the 29th around 9:30am and the condom broke, as soon as we realized i got up took a shower and remembered about Plan B. I took it the same day around 11am. So it's only a 1 and half hour space between the two right? I was fine the rest of the day no side effects.
Yesterday the 1st of February I was eating like crazy and didn't think anything of it, I have also been going to the gym a lot lately.

I woke up this morning and i'm bleeding! it's only a light flow so far. I'm not suppose to get my period until the 24th of this month and it's way early! Can someone please tell me what is going on and if this is normal?

Basic break down:
Last period: 23rd-27th of Jan.
The Sex: 29th of Jan. 9:30am
Took Plan B: 11:00am
My Cycle is about 32 days
Next Period: 24th of Feb.

Is this normal?

Hi Anonymous,

Yes, this is normal. It's normal because what you are experiencing is a side effect of Plan B-- irregular bleeding/change in period. Please remember that Plan B is a medication and every medication has side effects. Always look up the side effects for medication that you are taking to avoid unnecessary stress and know what to expect. If your period due on the 24th is late by more than one week please take a pregnancy test.

Best,

Rosa
