Hello,

I had protected sex on the 12th day of my cycle, and due to a mishap took iPill. I had early period (on the 26th day, I usually have it on the 28th day) thereafter in that cycle. In the next cycle, I had sex on the 16th day, and my periods are late by 6 days (in the second cycle). I was keeping a check on my cervical fluid, and it was broken and not stretchy the evening before I had sex (the 16th day one), sorry tmi. I am having brown spotting (a little bit) now, on the 34th day. But I have brown spotting in every period. What are the steps I should take?

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

Changes in the menstrual cycle are a side effect of emergency contraceptives. Wait because there is nothing else you can do.

If you miss your period for this cycle, call and speak with your gynecologist.

Regards,
Maryann
