The birth control pill started working right away to prevent pregnancy if you start on the first day of your period.
You mention missing four pills. Did you miss taking your pills for four days in a row? Did this happen in week 1, 2 or 3?
Did you start the first pack of pills on the first day of your period?
If you are having your period, that means you did not become pregnant. But, I am concerned about how you are taking your pills.
