Hello,
So I had unprotected sex a few days after my period was over, he did not ejaculate in me but to be safe I took plan b the next day. A few days later, I got some light bleeding, which I have read is common and is what plan b can do. I have a pretty regular 28 day cycle, my period is now 6 days late and I have been getting some white discharge. Should I be worrying about pregnancy or is this just natural, my period should be coming? And what are the risks of getting pregnant from precm? Thank you so much

Hi, Anon.
Thank you for your post.
Pre-ejaculate fluid itself does not contain sperm. If a male has had a recent ejaculation, sperm can remain in the urethra (the tube that both semen and urine pass through). Once he urinates, sperm is flushed out.
Emergency contraceptives are up to 95% effective when taken as prescribed within the first 24 hours, so the risk is very small. Side effects can include stomach aches, headaches, nausea and a general feeling of being unwell. Symptoms usually start 2-7 days after taking the medication and may or may not include bleeding or spotting. Not all women get symptoms. If you don’t get your next period within a week or so of its expected date, a pregnancy test is recommended. It can cause your period to be early or late, have a lighter or a heavier flow.
