Looking for safe skin care products and make up when you have mild rosasea

I have ordered some products that I found on the safe cosemetic site and also tried some from whole foods and Dr. A. Weil-origins. I have not found make up I like, and had a sensitivity reaction to the origins- probably especially the exfoliant but stopped it all to avoid loosing my money on an expensive product. I did like a soap and oil ( perilla oil.) No cure but liked it but It may have not made a difference as my rosesea waxes and wanes day to day and within the day.

The National Rosacea Society offers a lot of tips on how patients can protect their skin and wear make-up. Good luck! http://www.rosacea.org/patients/skincare/makeuptips.php

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. Have you ever had an allergy test where an allergist will poke you with several different allergens and see if you have a reaction? Since you have sensitive skin, this would be a great way to find out what exactly causes the reaction and then you can look for cosmetics that are free of such allergens.

Since every person is different, this may be a great way to find out what exactly causes you to react since there are several things (even natural) that may be causing you to react.

I hope this helps. Please keep us posted.
