I am 31 and I have been on my period for 13 days I normally go for 6 days and stop not this time I'm not on any birth control and haven't had sex in a few months is this normal for me to still be bleeding

Menorrhagia describes a period that is very heavy or long lasting. Irregularities can sometimes occur because of changes in hormone levels. Occasional irregular menstrual periods are more bothersome than worrisome for most women. If this is the first time this has happened, and the bleeding seems to be tapering off, and you are otherwise feeling normal, I'd not be too concerned. If it happens again or becomes a regular occurrence, call your doctor.
