My eGFR never went down that fast, I'm getting very afraid. What causes this?

Hi Anon

Thank you for this post!

Your GFR (glomerular filtration rate ) is how your doctor gauges your kidney function. It also measures stages of kidney disease.

A level of 44-30 means you are in what's called "moderate to severe loss" of your kidney's functions so when you went from 38 to 32, your kidney's lost more of their function.

How long have you had kidney disease? You need to discuss this with your doctor to see why your levels are decreasing - it could be lack of blood flow, a lack of response to medications, the medications themselves, or an infection - among other reasons.
