Hello Gnzlz,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns about the changes in your menstrual cycle and menstrual flow.

Do you have a gynecologist? When was your last appointment? If you have not seen a gynecologist since the changes started, I suggest you call to schedule an appointment. That is the best option to finding out what is going on.

The menstrual cycle is regulated by a precise balance of hormones. Any upset in one or more of these hormones will cause changes in the menstrual cycle.

Gnzlz, before calling for an appointment, take a home pregnancy test. Test tomorrow morning. Use the urine when you first wake up and use the bathroom. That way, you will have tested and have results before you call.

Regards,
Maryann
