Last month in September I got my period on September 4th and it was gone by the time I woke up on the 6th so it lasted about 2 days and was very light a tampon didn't even fill within a day. This month I am a day late and still have cramps but I have a tiny bit of brown discharge barely any. Is this normal?

Yes I've had unprotected sex. And it's very abnormal I usually have heavy periods and they are on time every month and at least last 4-6 days. I got a little bit of a period today but not much of one from how they usually are. I am on the Nuva Ring also.

Hello Anonymous,

Since you are using the NuvaRing, you are protected against pregnancy. As long as it was in place, you did not have unprotected sex.

How long have you been using this type of birth control?

You may want to mention this change in your menstrual cycle to your gynecologist. It may be related to the NuvaRing.

Maryann
