Period or spotting and cause

Hi, I lost my virginity in the beginning of September and i don't think there is a chance of pregnancy since I had an early period two weeks after that (still not sure of the cause). The flow was heavy and regular, so it was definitely a period. Now a month later my period is already over a week late and this morning I experienced bleeding. I thought it was my period beginning, but when I got home I realized it was less blood than a regular period and brown, although there were clots. The blood flow was also not constant, as I'm pretty sure it stopped sometime in the morning and there was only a little when I wiped. What is this a sign of? Am I going to get my period soon?
