Period Started on time. But only spotting now for four days now. Husband had a vasectomy so don't think it's pregnancy. Please help!

I'm only in my 30s so I'm hoping it's not premenopausal...
Husband says we should take pregnancy test just to count that out!

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Spotting for four days instead of having a normal menstrual flow can indicate a hormonal imbalance. If you are in your 40s or 50s, fluctuation in estrogen levels may be the cause. Irregular menstrual cycles is an early sign that a woman has entered perimenopause.

Should this continue for several months, you may consider consulting your gynecologist or primary care physician to have your thyroid levels checked.

Regards,

Maryann
