Q:

Plan B and a missed period?

I took plan b over a month ago, and 2 weeks after the pills I got what seemed like my period.
It is the next month and I have calculated that I am supposed to have my period today/tomorrow. I have no symptoms at all.
My boyfriend and I use condoms all the time, have had unprotected penetration for a minute but that's it. They've broken but not while he was finished, so we are very vigilant.
I had sex the other night and I had bright red blood, quite a good amount of it. Could I be pregnant?

Guide

Hello Tabita,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you reaching out to us for help.

Wait and see if the vaginal bleeding, which you notice the other night, continues. If it is spotting and the flow doesn't increase, take a home pregnancy test.

Having unprotected sex, regardless of the length of time, carries a risk for pregnancy.

Regards,
Maryann
