Q:

Pregnancy occurring without sex?

I was just wondering whether anyone has ever got pregnant without sex or IVF, like from foreplay or something. Say you had ejaculate on your hand and just wiped it on the bed and touched various objects and then touched your vagina when hands were dry, can you get pregnant? Is wiping it enough to get rid of it all? If you have a dry hand does it mean that there's no living sperm left? Do sperm survive on hands? Has anyone ever got pregnant like this?

Guide

Hi Anon,

Thank you for your question.

It is not possible to become pregnant without either unprotected sex or the IVF ( In Vitro Fertilization) process.
The vagina being touched by a hand that potentially has sperm on it can not cause pregnancy. Wet or dry, it doesn't matter, it will not be effective in causing pregnancy. Once air hit sperm it begins to dry and they die off.

Be well,
