Pregnant from oral?

No, I'm not going to ask the typical 'can you get pregnant from swallowing semen', but a slightly different question that has been worrying me recently. So, say my partner happened to get semen on his hands, then obviously wiping them on a cloth or something (possibly leaving some semen on the hand). Say he happened to put his hand in his own mouth STRAIGHT after. Now I've heard that sperm thrive warm and wet environments, which is exactly what the mouth is...so after he gave me oral. If there were any sperm that got to his mouth, transfer to me vagina? I did get my 'period' but it was all old blood...sign of pregnancy?

Once air hits semen it begins to die. So it can't be exposed to air and re-enter the body alive and cause pregnancy in the activity you described.

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question.

You can not get pregnant in the way you describe. If you did not have unprotected sex with penetration and ejaculation, you are fine.

Be well,

Thank you for your answer :). Could you explain further? What makes the scenario not possible? Is it that the saliva kills the cells?
