Protected Sex 1 day After Period ended, Pregnancy chances

Hi there
I had protected sex with a condom on on day 6 of my cycle. The condom did not break and was worn properly such that there was space at the end to prevent breakage.
Taking all precautions above - condom and day 6, I am still paranoid even though I know that my 29 day cycle is regular and I will ovulate in the coming week.

Thank you to the good people at Empowher, it's great that a community like this exists for women and girls on sexual health information.

Hi, deeloo92.

Thank you for your post.

It's good you are using condoms. When used correctly and consistently, every time you have sex, condoms prevent pregnancy about 98 percent of the time. They also offer protection against sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Try to relax. Based on your information, you had no mishap with the condom and therefore were protected.

Thank you Helena.
I am paranoid as a person, and hope that my period comes as normal. I did not take any EC pill because I was early in my regular cycles and was protected by condom.

Hi,

Yes. There would have been no reason to take emergency contraception. That is only supposed to be used in an emergency situation (unplanned/unprotected sex, condom/birth control failure, etc).
