Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community.

With such limited information, such as your age, medical history or if you had a recent injury to your shoulder, I can only provide general information. I suggest you contact your primary care physician for further help.

Your shoulder is made up of three bones: your upper arm bone (humerus), your shoulder blade (scapula), and your collarbone (clavicle).

Most shoulder problems fall into four major categories:

Tendon inflammation (bursitis or tendinitis) or tendon tear
Instability
Arthritis
Fracture (broken bone)

Once the cause is identified, relief options can be offered.

Regards,
Maryann
