okay so basically im a late teen and ive lost my virginity recently and ive had sex 3 times with my boyfriend including first time.
all 3 times i have ended up with a bellyache, nothing too bad but its just quite uncomfortable and i find it hard for me to go on top because it feels like a blow to the stomach, not nice.

my main question is just like do you know why this is and is it normal to get bellyaches during early stages or do women who get this tend to have it everytime.

please bear in mind theres physically no way i can have an std or pregnancy.

can this be to do with a low cervix and is there anything i can do?

(sorry for the tonnes of questions)

Guide

Hello person2257,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern about lower abdominal pain during sexual intercourse.

Schedule an appointment with a gynecologist. Since you have just started to be sexually active, it will be a good opportunity to have an initial pelvic exam to rule out a physiological cause of the discomfort, and a good time to discuss birth control options.

Try different positions and find the one that is most comfortable. I think your boyfriend will understand.

Regards,
Maryann
