I am a 20 year old girl. I last got my period on the 14th September which lasted for 3-4 days aswell usual. Some months my periods are delayed by a few days before or even a week or two. I am not on any form of contraceptive. I had unprotected sex on September 29th at 2am and I don't know if he can inside me I don't think so. I got the morning after pill at about 11:30-12am the next day. That night I gave my boyfriend a blowjob and he then used the same hand that was on his penis to finger me. I got such a fright I took the morning after pill again about 30 hours later. I had a blood clot as a baby so I was told I could never go on the contraceptive pill so I am worried that although I took the MAP twice will it have prevented me from getting pregnant because I used it within the timeframe recommended? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Daisy888,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

An emergency contraceptive prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. So, there was no need to take a second dose.

Changes in the menstrual cycle are a reported side effect. If you do not get your period or have any bleeding within three weeks of taking the pill, then test.

Regards,
Maryann
