Hi Hayden,
Welcome to EmpowHER. Type 1 diabetes, the pancreas produces little to no insulin. Is usually sudden(acute) when a person goes to their doctor with symptoms of high blood sugar. Symptoms are increased thirst, urination, dry mouth, hunger, blurred vision and many other. Type 2 Diabetes, the body resists the effect of insulin or enough insulin. People with type 2 Diabetes are overweight. Hope this was helpful?
