Q:

What does it mean when a girl gets wet from sex or being turned on? What happens if she isn't wet? It hurts to have sex and not be wet, is there something wrong?

Everytime I am having sex I always seem to be very wet, and sometimes wet through my panties. However, I met this new guy, really great!! I like him a lot and we stepped into that next level of having sex with each other. I did get an orgasm and it was enjoyable, but I was not wet and it eventually started to hurt mainly from dry skin rubbing against dry skin. Does this mean that I am not attracted to him? Is there a problem? Is there a way to fix this?

When you get wet and its like creamy white is that lubrication or just a girl cumming?

Hello Anonymous,

The wetness that you are experiencing is vaginal lubrication. It is a lubricating fluid that is naturally produced in your vagina. This moistness is always present, but production increases significantly during sexual arousal and in anticipation of sexual intercourse.

It is normal.

Hello Anonymous,

The vaginal wetness that you experienced is a sign of sexual arousal and stimulation. It is a physical sign that your body is aroused.

It is not a sign that you are emotionally mature enough to be sexually active.

Think about this...once you start menstruating, your body is physically ready to have a baby. When did you start menstruating?
Were you or are you emotionally ready to be a mother?

I'm a 16 year old girl, im a virgin aswell. Recently ive been going out with this guy ive known ages and ive been with him 3 months now. whenever we are together like when he makes out with me and touches me i get really wet like i havent that much before! i also feel alot more comfortable with him and trust him alot!
1. Does gettin wet mean they turn you on, and are attracted to them?
2. Is it a sign you're ready to have sex with them?
Thanks!:)

Hi Anonymous,
Any time you have unprotected sex there is a chance that you could become pregnant. The chance of getting pregnant increases if you have unprotected sex when you are ovulating. Ovulation is when one of your ovaries releases an egg. This usually happens about 2 weeks before your period starts.

For now, you need to wait and see if you get your period. If you are late by one week or more, you need to take a home pregnancy test.

As a nurse and mother of three children ( my youngest child is 16 years old ), I must tell you how important it is to be certain that you feel emotionally ready to be sexually active. You are young. If you feel that you are ready and are not being pressured to have sex, then you must use some form of birth control.

You need to be aware of the risk of contracting STDs. Have you been vaccinated against HPV? Please think about what you are doing and be safe.

I think you know. I would guess that something just wasn't right. Either nerves, technique, or something else. Our society want to make excuses for women who dry up in all reality it is no different than men who lose their erections. The only person who can tell you why you were not is you. Don't settle for sexual lube, do some soul searching and discover why. It is simple if you must use lube then something is not ticking, many women wish to use it so they can think about doing the laundry during sex and that way the guy never knows
