Why was my period off the wall?

My period started on March 22 and ended on the 26. My periods are always really bad like almost 18 tampons a day I go through and last 7 days. This time it was really light and 5 days I used like 10 tampons because most the time I didn't need anything. Then 3 days after my period ended, I started again, but when I would pee for 5 days. No cramps not heavy nothing like my period has been for the past 9 years. What could be going on? I'm trying to get pregnant but it's really hard I miscarry a lot. What do I do? I went to the dr an they don't do anything this is getting really hard. I need to know what's going on BC I want to have another baby. Please help me out.

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to advice.

I am sorry to hear that you have not gotten an answer or explanation from your doctor. Mainly because this change in your normal period pattern must be evaluated by a gynecologist.

How did your previous miscarriages present? Was the bleeding heavy or light? Did you have abdominal cramping? How far along were you when you miscarried?

Many women miscarry before they even know that they are pregnant. The loss of the pregnancy occurs when a period is due to start and can resemble a monthly period.

I cannot say that is what happened in your case. I can suggest that you look for a new gynecologist if you are not satisfied with the current level of care.

Regards,
Maryann

Thank you!!!! Well normally my periods are really bad in one day I go through 18 or more tampons. Now with a lot of real big clots in they are the size of my fist every time I change a tampon. When I miscarry its the same but much much more pain, I had tubal pregnancy an its that type of pain. The pain is so bad I go to the er an they told me I just lost a pregnancy. Ive been to 5 gynecologist and all they ever tell meand all day ever tell me is about endometriosis. An then leave it at that. Some drs have told me at the age of 25 I most likely soon nees to get a hysterectomy an im 29 now an really want to have a baby. I have one a 9 year old an had no problems with pregnancy or delivery I need the choice to have a Syrian but no problems and no issues with that pregnancy at all. Im just lost
