Leana:
I felt, I felt like if I was going to go through with the procedure, I was going to go all the way, and I know that one has, you know, been around the longest. I also didn’t know if I really wanted something foreign in my body, and it was more of a results; it showed more results. I researched that it would show more results than LAP-BAND® would, or other procedures.
It’s, well, obviously changed a tremendous amount since you can’t eat as much as you used to before. It’s weird adjusting to the fact that you want a lot of things, but your stomach cannot take it. And I personally, actually made a decision to become a pescetarian back in September, so I don’t actually eat meat or chicken, but I still eat fish and soy and vegetables, so I can get my protein in there. So, that was a personal decision I made, and so it’s changed dramatically.
It’s probably not the best idea for the gastric bypass patient to go out to dinner because it’s really…I mean, it’s pointless almost. You are ordering a dinner that you’re probably not going to eat, but you eat throughout the day and it fills you up.
