VIDEO - HERSTORY: Leana Shares How Her Life Has Changed Following Gastric Bypass Surgery

Leana describes when she first noticed results after her gastric bypass surgery and how her life has changed since the procedure.

Leana:
Pretty much like I think a week. I think in the first week is when I lost 20 pounds, and from then on it came off so quickly. And I think when you are in that time and you are looking for it to come off quickly, the first like two months you are kind of frustrated because it’s coming off quickly, but you are still, you know, at a huge weight, where you’re just like, “It’s not coming off so quick,” but now, looking back, like after my, after my first 100 pounds I lost, it just came off so quick. It was surreal.

You go day-to-day, you know, looking at yourself in the mirror and watching yourself transform into a different person, but you are still the same person. And then when you don’t see people for a while and they come and see you and there is shock in their eyes, and people who don’t even recognize you after a certain amount of time. It feels so good and it’s just so, it’s insane. It’s a whirlwind almost, and it’s a lot to take in, but it’s a lot of fun all at the same time.
