Hi, just wanted to let you know my physician has referred me to a neurosurgeon on 3/29/10. Evidentally the surgeon is very sought after but with my symptoms, they're fitting me in. Thank goodness! I'll let you know what he says after my appointment. Thanks.

thank goodness you might get help. Since I already have a dx of multiple sclerosis, physicians always want to cram ALL symptoms into that diagnosis. My MRI reads in part possible mega cisterna magna, possible Dany Walker Variant, possible arachnoid cyst, a lemon size posterior fossa cyst. I also have scoliosis, which has left me with a spinal fusion and laminectomy from the waste to tail bone. The cervical neck is trashed at C-2 thru C-7 with stenosis, spurs, foraminal stenosis and some protrusions, which cause me radiculopathy and brachial plexopathy at times. Tell you what, tho, this thing at my brain stem really makes me wonder, I have chronic vertigo, vestibular neuritis, nausea and motion sick most of the time. My world spins. Isn't it frustrating? It flairs up likes my head feels filled up, or something, wonder if my body absorbs the CSF fluid. I could not do my work, so I no longer have health insurance. and I can't get SSI without a doctor treating me recently. I want to work! This is very disorienting to have vertigo, you can't see write or put a thought together at times. Hugs to you.

For the benefit of readers who did not see the original post -
March 23, 2010 - 5:49pm"Anon" posted that she has a mega cisterna magna with a subarachnoid cyst. It remained 3x4cm until this last MRI, and now is 5.2x8.6cm. She has a history of migraines and over the past 5 months they have worsened along with eye weakness. She is now seeing a neurosurgeon on 3/29, and would like to hear from others who have arachnoid cysts.

Sure. I posted a comment on 3/10/10 that my cyst had almost doubled in size since last years MRI with increased migraines, and visual changes. In addition, I have the "helmet head" feeling, fatigue, nausea and tingling in left arm/fingers.
