her up 2 flts of stairs. My Mom woke up with some pain and couldnt walk... my sister had her get up and walk to the bathroom.After my mother being in extreme pain she called the ambulance .

My mother 81 experinced a bad fall from a stair case and fell 4-5 ft throughthe wall at the bottom of the stairs. My family member said her head n shoulder ( mostly shoulder went through the wall). My family member then proceded to pick my Mom up and walk

Hip Fracture Definition

Definition

A hip fracture is a break in the thigh bone just below the hip joint. The hip joint consists of a ball at the top of the thigh bone (femur) and a rounded socket (acetabulum) in the pelvis. Most hip fractures occur in the neck of the femur 1-2 inches below the ball portion of the hip.
