Implantation bleeding or period?

So over the passed two weeks I have been having several pregnancy symptoms. I have been off the pill for a little over a month now. I was on Mirena for almost 4 years. I stopped having my period when it was inserted and the doctor stated that after removal it might take a day to get my period, to a few months, or I could possibly never get it again. My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex since I got off the pill and with not having a period I don't really know when I am ovulating. Today I am having very light, brownish/pink bleeding. Not enough to wear a tampon or anything and I'm not having any cramps. When I use to get my period it was never this light. Could this be implantation bleeding or could it just be a period? I took a hpt almost two weeks ago and another one last night, both saying negative. How long should I wait until I take another one?
