Breast Self-Examination

After a mastectomy, breast self-examination (BSE) should be part of your routine. You will want to examine your natural breast and the surgical site once a month to note any changes in the way they look or feel. Though you may have been doing self-exams before your surgery, you will have to relearn what's considered "normal" for you now.
