Dr. Harness explains when a woman can engage in sexual activity after a mastectomy.

I know of no limit to that. In other words, there, there isn’t a maximum timeframe or a minimum timeframe. It’s how she is feeling about the operative site. Is the operative site not painful anymore? How is she feeling about her own body image, which is obviously a real issue? How is her partner feeling about her body image at this time? It’s a really complex issue, but from a pure physical perspective, I don’t know of any minimal time that people should avoid sexual activity.
