Gloria:
Well, women who need birth control can turn to their regular doctor. They can, if they are having financial issues and they need to be able to get birth control at a lower cost, then they can get through their doctor or through their regular pharmacists. They can turn to the public health system. There are clinics; they can turn to a private organization like Planned Parenthood where the costs are generally lower.
Unfortunately, and this is a very important health advocacy issue, over the past couple of years, actually the last, I would say couple of decades, access to really low-cost birth control has become increasingly difficult for women because federal funding has gone down and in many places states don’t fund family planning services. So, that’s, it’s an issue, but public health systems, Planned Parenthoods, and sometimes community health clinics can offer women birth control at lower cost than their regular doctor and pharmacist.
