Hello emilysheyenne,

Thank you for reaching out to the EmpowHER community and for sharing your question! I am sure you are nervous about the possibility of being pregnant.

Unfortunately, you will have to wait to take a pregnancy test until a few days before your period is due. Even then a test could come back negative. Some tests can give an accurate reading 5 days before a missed period, but the best thing to do is wait till your period is suppose to come and take a test then if you haven't started.

Worrying and stress can delay your period, so try to keep your mind off of it and be patient. I know that's hard to do, but there's really nothing you can do until then, unless you see your doctor for a pelvic exam.

emilysheyenne, did this help?

Best,

Kristin
