My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex in the shower and he's pretty sure he finished away from me. I am on birth control and I take it everyday at the same time. I have been feeling bloaty and some slight pain in my lower abdomen. This happened Wednesday afternoon, I was worried about it so I bought the plan b pill and took it this morning (saturday). What are the chances I am pregnant?

Hi - this is "I made out with a guy. Our clothes came off but we didn't have sex" girl. I posted a few comments ago.
The gassy feeling I had is mostly gone. But I still feel bloated, my jeans are a little tighter than usual and my boobs feel bigger! For a few days I always felt so full that I wasn't eating much - and if I ate anything at all, it made me feel like I'd overeaten. That's lightened up a bit lately.

Again, it's only been ten days since I was with this guy. I'm thinking that in a rare unlucky moment, his precum or something must've made it into my vagina, WHILE my uteral lining was being shed (I was on my period, and had a tampon in), and made it through because I can't think of any other reason why I would suddenly be feeling these strange symptoms! I didn't even think to take Plan B because he was never inside me, we didn't even have any kind of oral sex, and when he came it was nowhere near the lower half of my body.

Could these symptoms be due to ANYTHING else? Thanks.

Hi again Anonymous,

The real answer to that question is you should always be concerned since you had unprotected sex. Unfortunately, I cannot give you a definitive answer to how "likely" you might be pregnant. If you have a concern, I would certainly take precautions.

Hope that helps.

Hi Anonymous,

It is way to early to know if you are pregnant. If you are close to ovulation or you are not certain, I would take Plan B or the Morning After Pill to be safe. Otherwise, the only thing you can do is wait and see if you miss a period, then take a pregnancy test. Please keep us updated.

Hi I've been with this guy for a long time and I decided for the first time to have unprotected sex (I usually do it with a condom) and it's about 2 weeks after my period. I have an app on my phone that tells me when I'm fertile and when my next period is, but I don't know if that's completley accurate. So my boyfriend came inside me unexpectedly and my app says I'm not fertile, but he completley finished inside me and I'm worried that I'm pregnant and if I should take the morning after pill, which I've taken before. Should I be worried or tested? And I do feel gassy but that's because of the air pumping explained earlier. Please help!

Hi,

I made out with a guy about five days ago. We didn't have sex, but we did end up taking our clothes off, and he came - but nowhere near my vagina. I didn't think to use a condom because we didn't have sex. I was also on the one of the last days of my period, and had a tampon in. A couple of days later, my period was over.
For the past three days or so, I've been feeling a little bloated (pressure) and I can feel/hear bubbles moving around in my stomach. Does this mean anything? Should I be worried?

I had sex for the first time last sunday, and since then I have experienced some bleeding, bloating and cramping. I had my period the week before, but we used protection. Should I be worried about the excess bleeding if it appears to be as heavy as one of my normal periods, or just let it pass?
