Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question if an itchy back is related to the neck surgery, which you had a year ago.

What specifically was the surgery to your neck? It is possible that the sensation of itchy is related to nerves repairing themselves following the surgery. Have you spoken with the surgeon about this? If not, please contact the surgeon's office today and report this.

Do you have a rash in the area? Do you suffer with eczema or psoriasis?

Do you have itching other than your back? Are you taking any medications or herbal supplement? Just wondering if the itching is an allergic reaction.

Please keep in touch once you have spoken with the surgeon.

Regards,
Maryann
