Last week I had unprotected sex so had took the morning after pill a couple days later(inside the 72 hours) and then i had unprotected sex again on Sunday and he cmmed inside of me(didn't know at the time) . My period was supposed to of come this week and it still hasn't. I's never late if anything it's normally early, so I don't know whether it has anything to do with taking that pill a week ago or if I should be buying a pregnancy test to see if that's why?

Hi, I was late for my period for 4 days, I wasn't really worried because I'm kind of irregular so it's never too exact, the only problem is that I bled for a little bit then stopped for the rest of the day, there was no blood not even when I peed or wiped. I've never had intercourse but I did dry hump w my bf while he was naked and I was wearing underwear, he didn't ejaculate but there was precum on my panties, I don't know if that could get me pregnant but I'm scared why did my period stop?? What should I do if i don't continue bleeding tomorrow ?? Please help I don't want to be pregnant I'm too young

Hello Anonymous,

I do not know why your period stopped. Pregnancy would not be a reason because during dry humping you were wearing underwear.

If your period does not start, contact your gynecologist.

Hello Gordon12341,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern that your period is late.

Changes in the menstrual cycle are a reported side effect of emergency contraceptive pills.
The pill prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. It can cause your next period to start earlier or later than expected. Flow might be lighter or heavier than normal.

If you do not have any bleeding within three weeks of taking the pill, then you should test for pregnancy.

Regards,
Maryann
