I had been on birth control (gildess) for a little over a year. I finished my last pack and decided not to take any more. I got my first period about 6wks after. My periods have always been somewhat irregular before I started bc and during. I started my last period on May 24th it ended around the 27th or 28th. ..I had unprotected on the 31st. I inputted some of my previous periods in to a calculator app and it says I should get my period on June 22. Well according to this app I'm a week late. I did have cramping around the time I was expecting my period and I had spotted once on the 25th. I just recently been having sex almost daily since the 19th of June. I've taken a test at 2wks after the 31st encounter and it was negative and also another test about a few days ago. When should I recheck? And if I was pregnant would it be due to the encounter from the 31st or from the recent encounterssince the 19th? I've been trying to calculate this but not sure if I am accurate. If I was pregnant from the 31st then I'm assuming I'd be like 3wks but it was supposedly about a week before ovulation. But if I get pregnant from the recent encounters is it still too soon to test? So far all test have came back negative but still no period. ..still having some cramping occasionally.

Hi Arieschick,
Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. If your pregnancy tests are negative, I would assume that you are not pregnant. Since you just stopped taking the pill, it will take several months before your body adjusts to not taking the birth control so your periods may be late, early, etc. If you are still concerned about pregnancy, go to your doctor for a blood test.
I hope this helps. Keep us posted.

Thank you for your response I will keep that in mind. Although I still haven't gotten my period yet and still feeling bloated all the time and more hungry than usual. I'm going to wait a little longer before I test again .Thank you
