Genital rubbing during ovulation but no penetration

Hi! I'am a newbie but I've always been an uninvolved lurker of this site.. until something happened to me recently.

So me and bf were having genital rubbing possibly during my ovulation. I couldnt tell for sure since I have no OPK but this ovulation seems strange as I didnt have abundant EWCM like I used to. Only a hint of it every now and then, and lately, with blood-tinged EWCM. Anyway, we had the genital sex play. He didnt go in, and came in my hand. But I'm worried about preCM since he already ejaculated like an hour before that and as far as I can remember, he didnt urinate in between. Now Im super worried. We are probably two of the most stupid people on earth for doing that on a high risk day. Sigh.

Hi, danubelar.

Thanks for your post.

This is an unlikely scenario. Which I'm sure you probably already know having lurked here. If he did not urinate beforehand (which you are not certain of) the risk is low compared to penetration with ejaculation inside you. Rubbing and intercourse are two different things. To avoid stress over this kind of situation in the future, have him wear a condom during this kind of sex play. Especially if intercourse should ever follow.

Thank you so much for this reassurance Helena! I'm getting so worried already since I can now confirm that I was indeed ovulating when this happened. Been reading some stories about the possibility of girls getting pregnant from pre-ejaculation as it supposedly contains semen from his last ejaculation. That truly had me spooked, because I can clearly recall that he had pre-cum on his penis and we continued rubbing for a long time. But you can bet that we are getting contraceptives after this scare. I just need a peace of mind really cause Im so stressed already. Thank you for your reply!

Hi.

As you know, there can be a slight risk if sperm remained in the urethra from a recent ejaculation and a man did not urinate after. But you say you don't know for sure if he did or not. Did he enter you at all with the pre-ejaculate? These are things only you can know. I can only give you basic facts on how pregnancy happens and scenarios that are unlikely to cause pregnancy. There is always some risk when genitals come in contact without protection. Especially when penetration occurs.

Thanks Helena! No penetration occurred. I am a virgin and he knows his limit. So it didnt go in, not even partially. Just his penis with pre-cum rubbing on my vulva (or at worst, entrance of my vagina) but he also confirmed that he did not urinate in between his first ejaculation :( But that was the whole of it. Basically, I was just freaking out about his pre-cum impregnating me so I had to check with someone who's more knowledgeable. So I would just like to repeat if I'm getting you right: there is a possibility of pregnancy but it is highly unlikely? Thank you so much for taking the time to answer! You just dont know how much relief you have given me with your time.

Correct. :) Once your period comes, I think that will ease your mind as well.

Urm... Sorry if I keep on coming back to you.. The thing is, I'm having some sort of spotting for like three days now. It's very light, much like what they describe as implantation bleeding. I am not expecting my period until next week, or the week after that if in case I ovulated late.. So anyway, there have been like light brown and light red spots in my underwear for two or three days, but this morning, when I wiped myself with tissue, I saw bright red spots with about four clots! And plenty of ewcm tinged with red. Does implantation have that feature? The clots and ewcm? That only happened in the morning, and basically, no more spot the whole day. I have mild pelvic pressure though :( I think I cant test yet as it would be too early. But last month, I remember having light spotting five days before my period, and I did not yet have pregnancy risk then. So I hope it's only that? I really dunno anymore, so confused :'(

Hi,

Try to relax. It sounds like you are experiencing the same thing as last month. Which you seem to realize yourself. Wait for your period. It will arrive. That's really all you can do. But, if a negative pregnancy test is the only thing you will believe, it can be taken 2- 2 1/2 weeks after intercourse (which you never really had) but if it will ease your mind, that's always an option for you.

Thank you so much Helena! I'll try to relax and stop all these googling for now and just wait for the welcome sight of bright red AF. Will get back here as soon as I have it. You've been a great help!
