Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community for help.

By birth control pill, are you referring to oral contraceptive pills or emergency contraceptive pills?

If you finished your period on March 26, it was too early to be ovulating on March 28, and there was no need to take an emergency contraceptive.

If it was an emergency contraceptive that you took, it will prevent you from ovulating this menstrual cycle. You would not be at risk for becoming pregnant during sex on March 29 and 30.

Again, if you are talking about an ECP, there was no need and actually harm by taking another dose on March 31 and April 1.

Now, if you are talking about birth control pills, taking them so irregularly does put you at risk for becoming pregnant. Birth control pills prevent pregnancy by preventing ovulation.

When you miss an active pill and do not make up for that, hormone levels drop and you could ovulate.

Regards,
Maryann
