Q:

I gave my boyfriend a blowjob and after he came I used hand sanitizer before I put my hands on my vagina. Does hand sanitizer kill sperm?

Hello Anonymous,

Yes, a hand sanitizer, especially an alcohol (isopropyl alcohol)-based product, will kill germs and sperm.

me and my bf were fooling around...I had just begun stroking him. but didn't touch the tip...that means my hands were dry. meanwhile I accidentally touched the pubic hair and skin (where the clitoris starts). are there any risks???? I'm so tensed

Hello Anonymous,

Relax, there was no risk of getting pregnant because there was no semen.

so I came on gf's body while she had undie and just pants on. cleaned the whole area on her body with hand sanitizer.( I know this is silly please don't mind) and washed hands. later she bathed. I doubt if the sperm got absorbed by the trouser material(near waist). she changed clothes though. is there any danger?? how long will the sperm survive in air, on cloth and in contact with water or sanitizer?

Hi CandyCulen,

No, she was in no danger of becoming pregnant. Sperm can live outside the body for about 20 minutes. Once semen is removed by wiping it away or washing it away, no sperm remains.
