I have a really random question. I think it's more acceptable for men to and not for women to. I was talking to my best friends about this and I wanted more people's opinions on this so ... do you think it's appropriate for girls/women to masturbate? And if so, at what age is it appropriate to begin to do so?

I agree with Susan-- Masturbation is a topic that will give you a multitude of responses. There is no "right" or "wrong" answer... just a difference of beliefs and opinions.
There are groups of people who believe that masturbation is morally wrong and should never be done, not by a man or woman. Then there are those who think it's okay for men but women should not engage in it. And then there is the group who thinks it's natural for men AND women to masturbate.
This could be a very touchy subject up for discussion; one of which no one would ever agree or agree to disagree. They'd simply try to shove their view down another person's throat. BUT this would make an excellent poll, perhaps for EmpowHer to consider for the site?
