Masturbation

I have a really random question. I think it's more acceptable for men to and not for women to. I was talking to my best friends about this and I wanted more people's opinions on this so ... do you think it's appropriate for girls/women to masturbate? And if so, at what age is it appropriate to begin to do so?

I think it a great that you would think of yourself so highly to pleasure yourself. That is a feeling we were all given and there might be nobody or might never be someone around to experience it. Why let age have anything to do with it?

I got to say I used to think that is was kind of weird for a girl to masturbate but I guess that was when I was having sex regularly so I never needed to. Now my boyfriend has hit this slump when it comes to sex, he is never into it and it drives me crazy so I HAVE to masturbate so stay sane. Going on a month without sex while being in a relationship is difficult so I find myself doing it more when we havent had sex for awhile and I think its perfectly normal and acceptable for women to do so. I mean men do it all the time, y cant women?
Its a little unfair because its harder for women to come to the same results as men in masturbating. I know its quite difficult for me to reach orgasm but it still feels good and its completely normal and healthy.

It's really quite subjective. Are you the touchy/feely type of person? Meaning, were you used to tactile relationships with your parents when you were young? Then you might start doing it at an early age.

I think that's a great idea! How do I make it a poll?
