The milky like discharge is normal, and as long as there is no odor that is very bad (possibly indicating an infection), then it is normal cervical mucus and every woman has this discharge. It changes consistency depending on the timing of your cycle.

Many women can have irregular periods, and since you are sexually active, it is important to have annual gynecological exams so that you know your body and what your own "normal" is. Have you been to the Gynecologist for your first appointment? Are you using any type of birth control?
