Hello. My partner and I had protected sex Feb.4, and my period was supposed to start. feb. 9. My partner had ejaculated in the condom, but didn't pull out until about 5 minutes after. When he examined the condom, he saw a whitish substance. It didn't smell, wasn't very watery, and it wasn't clumpy when he rubbed it between his fingers. There was no sign of rips, and leakage doesn't seem likely for it was hard to take the condom off afterwards and the tip and everything else was dry after taking the condom off. It seemed like all the semen was in the condom. my period has always been a bit irregular, and strays around 1 week earlier or later than the previous month. However, I know for a fact that in January I got my period jan. 9th and in december I got it around dec. 11. About a week after, there were a couple of days where my nipples were very tender. On Friday, Feb. 10, I had cramps all night. For the last two weeks, my breasts, not my nipples, have been very sore, and now the soreness has subsided. For the past three days, I've been getting strange cramps, which haven't been seeming to go away. It isn't like a sharp jabbing pain that I usually feel when I cramp. Usually when I move very promptly, it starts to hurt. I also hear my stomach making noises, which alleviates the uncomfortable sensation. I took a pregnancy test on feb. 17, which was 8 days after I missed my period, and 13 days after I had sex, and it was negative. This month, I also have been very stressed out, and had started to get the sniffles early this week. I'm thinking (hoping) that this is the cause for my delayed period. Do I have anything to worry about?

Hi, Wizard.

Thank you for your post.

Illness and/or stress is most likely the reason your period is late. That, combined with your history of irregularity. Try to relax and wait for your period to arrive. If you still feel unsure in a week or two, you can always test again, if only to ease your mind.

Ok, thanks so much for your input. Just an observation: yesterday i experienced some very light spotting while wiping that area. It was just barely visible, like a light pink dot. Could this be a prelude to my period coming? Also, regarding to my cramps, is it possible that these cramps aren't menstrual based! Because for my previous menstrual cramps I've never had an instance where my stomach growls and makes sounds like this time. Given my circumstances, is there any way the semen could have leaked if after taking the condom off, my partner's penis (including the tip) was all dry afterwards?
