Q:

Never had an orgasm

I lost my virginity when I was 19 and have had many partners. Most of them were hookups who didn't care about my needs or whether I got what I wanted. However, it is becoming increasingly stressful that I have never had an orgasm from clitoral stimulation or from penetration. Whenever I do end up with a partner I fake it everytime. And of course the sex feels good, its not like it doesn't but I don't reach a climax. I have tried masterbating with my fingers and it just doesn't do anything for me. I have been looking into vibrators to see if that will solve the problem or at least help me find the spot. Is there something else that I'm missing throughout this whole process? I feel as if there is something wrong with me and its starting to affect my willingness to get close to anyone let alone get in bed with them.. Please help!

Also may I add the strongest sex organ for a woman is her mind clear it of all things stressful and take the time to know your body. Also a good starter toy to try to achieve the first orgasm is the Hitachi Magic Wand. Just find the setting the feels good and go for it.

Hi cmfettig,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Many things can cause a woman not to be able to reach a climax or an orgasm.  Physical or psychological reasons, such as stress, depression and/or illnesses that make orgasm difficult. They're vascular, neurological or hormone-deficiency disorders. The problem could be a side effect of a particular medication. Very occasionally pelvic surgery can cause nerve damage and loss of sensation.  You need to discuss with your doctor, so he can do the proper testings and if it’s psychological sometimes psychotherapy can help. Hope this is helpful?

Best,

Daisy
