I'm 21 and have a two y.o daughter.
I am on guildess birth control pills and have been for the last month.
My period started the 4th of December and ended the 7th,
I actively had intercourse multiple times during my ovulation days which were present the 16th through 20th.
I've taken my birth control late by an hour, and sometimes 2 hours.
I started sporting lightly on Christmas, the 25th and have spotted randomly until last night the 27th.
I haven't experienced any pregnancy symptoms that I'm aware of other than constipation.
I forgot to add, the bleeding (spotting) mainly occurs only after having sex but has been on the days I expect my period.
Could this be an odd period or is this pregnancy???

Hello tenchester,
Thank you for sharing your question with the community. I'd love to give you some advise on the matter.
First of all, you need to be aware that even if you the time you take your pill every day varies by a few hours it does not change the effectiveness of the contraceptive.
If you have not missed a day of taking you pill than it is still fully effective even if you have sex during what should have been your period.
Irregular periods can happen for a number of reasons such as: stress, too little sleep, hormonal imbalances, medications, illness, eating disorders, or exercise to name a few. Having an irregular period one time is not usually reason for alarm.
However, if you miss it consistently, or it fails to be regular even when taking birth control, you should see your doctor. There may be something more serious going on.
Let us know if you have any more questions.
