I had unprotected sex on august fifth and i took plan b right after that. Then i got my period on august 19th. I had sex using a condom that didnt appear to have any breaks or leakages on september 9 and i have still to get my period. I have all the signs like acne, sore breasts and period like cramps that are on and off. Ive also been on metrogel and oral flagyl as well as medications to treat yeast infections. I know plan b has effects on late periods and antibiotics can too. Im just not sure if i should worry and take a test now.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

Some antibiotics can interfere with the effectiveness of oral contraceptives. Birth control pills and emergency contraceptive contain the same hormones.

It is possible had an effect. If it has been three weeks since you took the pill and still no bleeding, contact your gynecologist.

Regards,
Maryann

What im saying is that i had sex after taking plan b in august. So im not sure if its possible that its still messing with my cycle, or the anti biotics are, or if its a possibility of pregnancy. Would it make sense for me to take a pregnancy test now or after some time
